Artist Bio

Born in Rochester NY, Melanie Fisher received her Bachelors of Science in Ceramics from the State University of New York at Buffalo State College. She was a resident artist at Buffalo Arts Studio and she has shown in galleries in New York, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. Melanie has participated in artist residencies in the US as well as Beijing, China and Ottawa, Canada. She received a Post Baccalaureate certificate at Indiana University Southeast and a Masters in Fine Arts degree in ceramics at Ohio University, where she also earned a certificate in Visual Arts Management. Melanie currently teaches at Delta College in University Center, MI.
