Play/Ground is an immersive art experience meant to engage your senses, expand your mind and inspire your imagination.
29 artists transformed a former school in Medina, NY into a series of immersive art experiences.
Play/Ground is a Resource:Art project in partnership with Hallwalls Contemporary Arts Center and Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo).
On the Other Side was installed in an old classroom, within the former school. Materials I made or used include green ceramic plant pods, two decaying trees of plaster and recycled fabric, foam and plaster rocks, and found allium, sumac and thistle that I then dried, as well as purchased dirt. The artificiality of materials and life forms is highlighted in this work through the use of pink and green lighting.
